Wilson River Band

We formed the Wilson River Band in 2023 as six individuals who have passionately played music their entire lives.  Our goal is to present a different type of band that can play all kinds of venues and events.  With our diverse experience, we deliver songs in a variety of genres.  Our members are experts on their respective instruments.  Vocals and harmonizing are our priority.  We have two lead vocalists who between them can sing the widest of vocal ranges enabling us to cover a wide variety of songs.  Most all the members sing which lends variety to our shows.

 When we formed the band, our primary goal was to optimize the listening experience for our audience.  Many bands play at high volumes that are too loud to be enjoyable, or with sound mixes that aren’t balanced between the instruments and voices.  To maximize our sound quality, we eliminate stage noise by not using stage amplifiers or acoustic drums.  The signals for all instruments, including electronic drums, guitars and keyboards, are silently run into a mixing board and the balanced signals are directly sent to a state-of-the-art powered sound system of the highest quality.  Thus, all band members hear exactly what the audience hears.  We find it’s like the band is playing acoustically in a living room, except we can adjust the overall volume to a level that’s suitable for the venue and the audience.  We use the same techniques when the venue is supplying the sound system.

 We play music from the late 50s to the present, although our concentrations are in the 60s through the 80s.  We cover classic rock, pop and some country.  With enough lead time we will also learn any songs requested by the individual or organization booking us.  We look forward to playing for you!
